When the Getty Conservation Institute and the City of Los Angeles collaborate to preserve and provide access to a historic mural, it takes a community to cement its success. América Tropical, located at El Pueblo de Los Angeles Historical Monument in downtown Los Angeles. The banners line busy Los Angeles Streets and draw attention to the center, showcasing the only U.S. public mural by famed Mexican artist David Alfaro Siqueiros still in its original location. The related exhibits at the
